No blog about the 80's would be complete without the favorite TV shows of the 80's. I remember well watching the Cosby Show, Growing Pains and Moonlighting each week (new - not as re-runs). An additional favorite was Magnum PI and later Miami Vice.

I also loved the Cosby Show every Thursday night at 8pm. I still try and watch reruns when I pass by an episode while channel surfing. I enjoyed Cheers, Family Matters, and Married with Children. Some other shows that come to mind are Spenser for Hire, Perfect Strangers, and MacGyver. I liked shows from the 80s. They all seemed to be clean without all of the read between the lines shows of today.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching Dukes of Hazzard and Dallas on Friday nights. It was family night and we would make a large bowl of popcorn and a pitcher of Kool-aid.
ReplyDeleteWow i was born in the 8o's and i stil the polysters and pastelle jackets worn with like pink shirst and tan pants.
ReplyDeleteI still cringe when I think of the Dallas Cowboys losing to San Fran. All they had to do was sack Joe Montana instead of trying to block his pass. They had a clear shot to sack him or make him throw an errant pass. Oh well... You can't win'em all but I so wanted to see them win that one. I'm huge Cowboy fan. Love the way you set up your page. Good choice of color. The contrast is perfect. There's like three different colors of pink and the blue lettering sticks out and makes the read very simple. Good job.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite show was Family Ties. I loved Michael J. Fox. That show was awesome. I loved how they portrayed a stable family life. We need more show like that today!
ReplyDeleteI used to love watching family ties and the cosby show. I found myself quoting the Cosby show today. You always learned something by the end of the show.
ReplyDeleteProbably my favorite all time TV episode is the Cosby Show episode where Theo is going to move out to live like a "regular" person. Dr. Huxtable uses Monopoly money to show Theo he has a lot to learn about economics and making it on his own. Apparently it is the pilot episode.
