Jelly Shoes... Seriously?

This site shows the top 10 items in fashion during the 80's. I am guilty of wearing and wanting all 10. I am continually amazed at how many things are beginning to come back in style now. I have personally seen Jelly shoes and leggings in the stores recently. However, I refuse to wear them now. Yes, that fact will make me look as old as I now am beginning to feel. 40 is much harder to overcome than 30. Who said 30 was the dreaded birthday... Big hair is a common laugh of those who have photos from the 1980's. It was just as outrageous as the bee hive back in the 40's and 50's. However, we all thought it was cool... Thought I would share some photos and a good laugh!

Top TV programming of the 80's

No blog about the 80's would be complete without the favorite TV shows of the 80's. I remember well watching the Cosby Show, Growing Pains and Moonlighting each week (new - not as re-runs). An additional favorite was Magnum PI and later Miami Vice.

Can't live without music.

Well, you just cannot celebrate the 80's without celebrating the music. I listened to a fair mix of pop, rock and dance tunes. Much like the ones in this YouTube video. It showcases songs for the entire decade. Many I haven't heard since high school. It was a great trip "back in the day" as I watched. What was your favorite song of the 80's? I was a huge Bon Jovi fan, and must admit I still am.

As a teen of the 80's, I remember all the now vintage clothing, hairstyles, etc of the 1980's. In this blog I want to share these things with all who may not be aware of the icons of the 80's, as well as take a trip down memory lane with those who did live through it.
